Anyone else notice?

That when the Queen was talking to Samuels that there was a giant map of the earth that had the seven continents on it. Even North America was shown.

For awhile I was beginning to think that it wasn't even Earth. That maybe it was supposed to be another Earth type planet, with humans. But then they had that map and my theory went out the nearest window.

Did anyone else notice that Reverend Samuel's now has the ability to move from place to place without appearing to travel?

It is our Earth and our history.

I think Gilboa is in the near future in the Middle East.

Possibly fifty to one hundred years from now.

I think all the modern civilizations fell leading to strife and war. However, a few decades after new civilizations were created. These new civilizations all were mainly democratic and atheistic.

During this time, when the Middle East is in ruins Silas hears the word of God and creates a new modern civilization based on a monarchy.

To me that show aslways sounded as a typical Medieval storyline sets in modern times. Which is why i think it worked brilliantly.

though it did have few references to our modern history (the shoe, the false excuses for war...)
