Other network!

Still puzzles me as to why that show was picked up by NBC!! It didn't belong to a massive popular network. It didn't target the right audience and was very badly sold. I'm an exemple of that... only started to watch it few days ago cause I wasn't interested by it. It would have had more chance on another channel.

Such a brilliant, well written, well acted show.

Hope that it will be picked up elsewhere, or they do just a 2 hours movie (even if it's straight to DVD) to give more closure to this very interesting story.

Sad it's over.

It should have been on HBO. If the plot doesn't involve a Hospital, or a Court Room then it won't survive NBC.

NBC (Nothing But Crap network). Quality shows are not in their ballpark.
Kings will be replaced with a cheap reality show that does not need quality actors like Ian and Brian (Cox).

Ben Silverman, the previous head of PT programming at NBC, was relatively new in the job. He came from a studio, rather than a network, so he was trying to make a splash and think outside the box by greenlighting Kings. By the time Kings was ready to air, Silverman had been moved aside by a new head of PT programming who came up through the network programming ranks. She appears not to have championed the show as much. She plugged Southland into the timeslot Kings was intended for and put Kings on Sunday nights, where it tanked in the ratings.

Wow I just clicked on this link to start a thread for the same exact purpose and then I read your note! That's exactly what I was thinking. I love this show! But it wasn't geared to the right target audience. The time slot it was given was awful. It's a great show and hopefully another network will pick it up like maybe TNT or Lifetime? I don't watch much TV but Kings definitely had me tuning in every week. I loved the fact that it was well written for a diversified cast without a stereotypical theme. The people featured seemed real and not 90210'ish. Man this show and its fans got such a bad deal. I feel like I need to seek therapy for some closure.
