Are people actually excited for this garbage? I thought the remake trend would die by now.

Wasn't excited for it but I saw it and enjoyed it. As remakes go I thought this was a good one. True to the original but updated and different enough to stand on its own. Won't win any awards but fun enough movie.

I highly doubt it. I would have preferred someone who was a fan of the whole series to make a remake, This just doesn't have that Death Wish feel at all.

Well I'm an Eli Roth fan so maybe I'm just biased. Also I enjoyed the original Death Wish but never had any interest in the sequels so can't claim to be a fan of the series. All I can say is I enjoyed this more than the majority of remakes that I've seen.

I also have to say that I went to a 10:45 AM show and was surprised that the theater was almost full. Wouldnt expect that turnout for an R-rated movie so early that hasn't gotten a whole lot of attention. I'll be interested to see what the box office numbers are for this.
