No Trailer?? but on DVD in a few days??
Oh,oh,bad sign very bad sign!!

reply

Actually, the movie will premiere in select cities on April 23rd. The DVD is being sold now to help pay for the theatrical release. There will be a trailer included with the dvd, along with a making of segment. The DVD will ship,as I stated before,on April 26th.

reply

@renee0521

trailer included with the dvd??

Ok but for me a trailer comes out before a movie comes on DVD or to the theater.
It looks like that the movie is bad or have bad special effects.
Trailer is a appetizer for the audience to see what kind of film or how the
Film looks like.
Sure its not a warranty that when a trailer looks great that the movie will be great.
That's disappointing special for the fans of the orginal.

reply

Did this actually come out? I can't find the DVD for sale any where.

reply

I preordered it from the website at the start of April but it has not arrived yet nor have they sent an email confirming that it's been shipped. I wasn't expecting to see this in stores since it's clearly an independent production so I figured buying direct would be the best way to get it.

The Special Limited Edition dvd has sold out. It is my understanding that a standard edition will be on sale at www.albertpyunmovies.com at a later time. The standard edition will not have any of the stuff that the limited edition has.

reply

So there's hasn't been any news on a general release (Amazon.com etc.) that is also available outside the US (Albert Pyun's website apparently only ships there)?

reply

Yeah, it's weird that there is no news on this. I want to order it, but the site said it's sold out.

reply

I just got an email thanking me for my patience and letting me know that they will be filling the pre-orders as soon as possible. To my knowledge no one has received their copies yet so I will post here as soon as it arrives so you will know that it's safe to order.

There was a trailer on Facebook. The director Albert Pyun put out a trailer 2 days ago. The pre-order is sold out. I pre-ordered this movie and have been waiting to receive it. The writer of the movie also had a trailer on-line. The trailer was only sent to those who pre-ordered in early April. I know, it is weird for the trailer to come out right as the movie is being released on dvd first then in the theater. When in the theater I don't know. The dvd is an exclusive edition for those who preordered it. I can't wait for this movie to get here, as I thought the trailer was great. Did you see the trailer, deheor? You should have gotten an email stating that you had access to it, like I did.

reply

Yes, they sent the password for the trailer. It was quite long and seemed more like a preview than the usual minute long with voice over that we usually get. It seemed more like something they would show to investers.

Hopefully there won't be too long of a delay because I ordered the two pack with this film and the multidisc version of 'Bulletface' so I have wait for both to arrive together. I need this one to arrive before the pre-orders for 'Road to Hell' start being taken because I may be a little reluctant to place a second order while still waiting for the first.

reply

Has anybody gotten their copy or seen this yet? Release day was over a month ago.

reply

My thoughts exactly.

I've tried to order it at FYE and Amazon.com but neither had ever heard of it.

Finding it is like looking for Bigfoot.

reply

The release was delayed because Mr.Pyun wanted to make sure it was best it coulb be, so he's been busy editing it. The last I heard,we should know something about the shipping and theatrical release dates in a week or so.

reply

This movie is going to be delivered to those who preordered it on July 15th. He is still tweeking it as we speak. Saw a good trailer for this on Youtube. Go check it out.

reply

The film is being directly delivered by the Devil himself. He also came to collect Val Kilmer's career, so now Val can join the Z-Hell where people like Christopher Lambert, Mathias Hues, Lorenzo Lamas and all this people live.

reply

July 21 in selected theatres around the US.

Purchased DVDs (via www.albertpyunmovies.com) are shipping a couple of days earlier.

reply

I hope that happens. There have been a few release dates on this site but nothing has come from any of them.

The premier of the film was tonight at Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Ky.
I was in attendance. Val Kilmer and Christopher Lambert are neither one in it. Lambert was suppose to be, but he was double booked at the time of filming. He was in, I believe, South America instead. It's still VERY possible he will be.

The film it self is still not actually done, Pyun said he was still tweaking the film Friday night to have it ready for this evening. There is still some color correction and other effects that are not quite finished.

There was a short Q & A after the viewing which was filmed on what looked like a little digital video camera, similar to a FLIP. Not sure if that footage will be seen anywhere, but it was documented.

reply

Lambert was in South Africa, filming "White Material".

What was the film like? Good? Bad? Awful? Stylish?

reply

Personally, I quite enjoyed it.

It was in segments. (Can't remember how many now)
There were some generic CGI moments, but the film isn't entirely finished yet either. So those will be taken care of later.

You could tell it was a Pyun film, if you have seen others of his. The style seemed some what more modern, but still his unique vision. The soundtrack really did it for me. He said he's huge on rock operas, which came out very heavily in the music: heavy and epic.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy Kevin Sorbo. My only nitpick was his accent. All the other actors had one, but he did not. Perhaps this will come in to player, but maybe not. I wont go into why, as it could be a spoiler to the plot.
