Sequel to The Sword and the Sorcerer? (Spoilers)

There is very little swordplay and almost no sorcery.

The original Talon, who was an exiled prince turned mercenary, is now a fisherman who relives his glory days by putting the moves on every woman he sees, including his own daughter. And it seems he has sired quite a few children around the lands.

The three bladed sword from the original, that fired two blades leaving the main blade to fight with, now is able to fire three blades leaving again the main blade.

The original Talon is only in the movie for about a minute. The other times we see him, we only see a mysterious cloaked figure, never his face.

It seems that this movie is mainly about five of Talons kids (four daughters and one son) teaming up to stop one of Talon's ex-lovers and their daughter.

The original movie was professionally shot to Hollywood standards. This looks like the director only had enough film to shoot each scene once.

The teeth on the vampires are poorly fit and oversized, and make it almost impossible to understand any of them when they speak.

Also there are three actors listed as being in this that aren't even in the movie (Michael Pare, Oliver Gruner and Norbert Weisser).

it felt to me almost like a extended pilot where they are trying to set up characters and framework. But its nicely done and had just enough sorcery for my taste and wasn't one of those films where there is so much emphasis on mindless action. I was happy it focused on character and story.

There is no Talon in this movie, the father character was called Oda Nobunga and appeared to be a Caucasian samurai of sorts. And it was 3 daughters, 1 son, and one granddaughter.

Apparently it is a sequel, though I dont know how? And apparently the servant girl is the fifth daughter, the one he had with the vampire, but she is an antagonist. This movie was really bad and did not make anything clear.

This is the sequel to Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084749/?ref_=nv_sr_1

They were suppose to make a sequel of this film back in the 80's, but Lee Horsey decided he wanted to do Maatt Houston series with Pamela Hensley instead. Can't say I blame him. Anyway, anyone who is familiar with films back in the late 70's early 80's knows that Pam was in "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" as Princess Ardala. Both of these films were decent back then. Matt Houston only lasted until 1985 before it was cancelled. No idea why the producers of "The Sword & the Sorcerer" didn't follow up with Lee to get the sequel done in 1986-1987. At the end of Sword and the Sorcerer it says the adventure continues in "Tales of the Ancient Empire". I honestly don't think the script for this film was what they wanted. Talon was suppose to be the main character again, but they completely changed everything and with a small budget, they made this crappy movie. I really hope that someone will make a real sequel to this film with all the action and magic they had in the first film. What a waste of money and time.
