A great Parallel to The Fly storyline.

When you think about it, both men experience a freak accident and begin a transformation that leaves them as something else by the end of each film. It's a tragic storyline that's brilliantly done.

District 9 is an amazing movie. I think its Neil Blomkamps best movie as Elysium and Chappie never reached the same kind of heights. District 9 feels like a futuristic version of The Fly to me.

I loved The Fly!!! Great observation!!! The claymation in The Fly though was way grosser and more realistic than the District 9 computer animation, lol, I'm just old school. And Jeff Goldblum- before the transformation- was way more shaggable than poor Wicus

The comparison works only on the surface though because in District 9, the hero keeps his humanity...
