Nina Dobrev: Never Cry Werewolf's Loren = The Vampire Diaries' Elena.

Never Cry Werewolf: Loren is identical to the past love interest of her werewolf neighbour, which is why he is attracted to her.
The Vampire Diaries: Elena is identical to the past love interest of the Salvatore vampire brothers, which is why they are attracted to her.

Seriously, I can see a pattern here.

Is Nina not able to play different characters, I wonder? It's impossible not to notice such a blatant similarity. The tv series came a year later than the tv movie, so I guess the latter was the "inspiration" for Elena's character. Well, unless The Vampire Diaries were books before being a tv series. It just cannot be a coincidence.

The Vampire Diaries was in fact a book series before it ever became a TV show. but I did notice that similarity too. she really doesn't seem to be able to get away from playing doppelgangers. if she plays a third set of people (even twins) I may scream.

This early in an unknown actor's career, they can't exactly afford to be picky about the roles that they choose. Imo, she made the right decision to go after the role of elena. It has brought her success and an opportunity to escape being regulated to only acting in B movies like this. I suspect this movie helped her get the part of Elena because she essentially portrayed what they were looking for Eventually, she will be able to branch out to other roles. JMO.
