Why is Mulan counted but not Esmerelda?
Mulan is more of a princess than her (she saved China and impressed the emperor in addition to being in the army, so she probably got special titles).
Mulan is also a better role model than Esmeralda (who would be far better if she weren't a pole dancer who used her looks to seduce guys). Not that Mulan is perfect (who is?) but still.

Oh, so using your looks is suddenly "evil"? Hang on, my clock says 2013. I didn't realize it was 1891 and women were supposed to be doormats.
Also Esmarelda could fight and defend herself and cared about people despite how they looked. Unlike most "Princesses" she was selfless. "I ask for nothing. I can get by. But I know so many less lucky than I."
Also why does Alice from Alice in Wondrland count as a princess?
I think poor Esmarelda is very under-rated.
