Terrible! Just terrible

What a waste of money! The premise is good, but the whole movie ends to be one BIG YAWN.....!!!!

I didn't think it was terrible, but it certainly wasn't terrific either. There was some good suspense, but nothing really happened. I was expected this guy to flip out and and go all psycho and he didn't. Sure, he locked his family up, but they were okay at the end.

I expected more.

It wasn't a masterpiece, but it wasn't bad. I thought it was terrific that this man resented his life so much he was willing to kill his family for a chance at something more. Then to find out he was on the placebo all along just blew me away.

It's all fun and games until someone gets caught. Then it's larceny.

Damnit, why did I read this thread b4 watching the movie :(
Don't you guys know about spoilers?

reply

If I can make a suggestion - Never read a thread entitled "Great!" or "Worse movie ever", or anything similiar. There's usually discussion of the plot and spoilers.

But give it a while and you'll forget what you read lol

At the beginning when he had just started taking the pills and said something like, "I've never been happier," I immediately thought, "l'll bet anything he's on the placebo!"

i fairly agree with the op. i was into it for the first 20 minutes, then it kinda just got, well, boring.

and there was no conclusion, whatsoever. i'm like wtf

i at least thought there would be some payoff after the brother in law told him late in the story he had been taking placebo the whole time. i thought that turn in the plot would mean something. but nah, homey just dropped by his mom and then got on a train.

the beginning was fine. but there was no goal for the character, no target he was shooting at.

...there was no goal for the character, no target he was shooting at.

I thought that was the point. His current life wasn't the answer. A pill wasn't the answer. If you have no destination, any road will do.
