Did the Writer Understand Human Behavior at All? (Spoilers)
So even aside from everything else that makes this movie suck what i found to be the absolute worst was how unbelievable and mind numbingly stupid almost every single thing the characters did was. To begin with even after having their tent cut through with a knife and seeing big puddles of blood the characters seem to be completely unworried even though they are trapped in an abandoned asylum. They then proceed to split up and make absolutely no attempt to find weapons.
Next one of the girls is alone and when attacked she sprays the killer with something from her purse to get away but then when she sees him again she is asking if he’s the grounds keeper. Not only did she ALREADY SEE him but one look at this guy and you can tell somethings not right. Cant quite remember but he may have even been holding a knife.
Also throughout the movie they are never watching their backs and at the end when its just the siblings left the brother is telling his sister to stay at a spot while he goes and looks down a hallway. No one would act like this with a killer around. And down this hall the brother finds the place where the killer finishes people off and even though there is a wide variety of weapons on the wall he does not take any weapons as they go to look for one of their friends who they think is alive.
Finally when him and his sister do go back and get weapons they don’t watch their back and the killer sneaks up on them trapping the brother by pinning him against the counter with a table. When this happens the brother tries to hit him with some blunt object when he could have grabbed a knife and stabbed his face or neck. Also he tells his sister to run and she does even though SHE IS HOLDING AN AXE and has a CLEAR SHOT to smash the killer in the back of the head with it.
And while I still don't think I would say its the worst movie I have seen it definitely has the most idiotic people i've seen and I am still baffled how anyone in the making of this movie could have thought that anything the characters were doing were believable actions of anyone but a five year old.
