Saw it, loved it, would see it again!

I just attended the York (Pennsylvania) premiere of Route 30 and I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in years! John Putch has created a funny, touching, and engaging group of story lines and characters that are a real joy to spend a few hours with.

There are no standouts in the cast, which is a tribute to the right blend of actors in the ensemble, all of whom bring their characters to life with skill and simplicity. Not all of the cast members are from this area, but it was difficult to tell whose roots are here and whose are not.

On a personal aside, it was a real treat to see the Jennie Wade storyline handled with just enough irreverence to tickle the funnybones of locals who have all grown up wondering the same thing – can a person baking bread get shot any where else but in the butt when the bullet hole in the door is only waist high?

Well done, cast and crew! Hopefully this is the start of more stories from this wildly entertaining and intriguing section of the Lincoln Highway.

This is really a great movie. I loved the cast of characters and their quirkiness. I am truly surprised at the 5.2 rating. I give it an eight.

Great movie. No standouts? Booger, Damone, and the gay guy from Desperate Housewives, not to mention Dana Delany, you can't get a better cast than that !
