There just isn't much story here. Perfect couple with perfect relationship have minor spat and husband moves out... for a few hours.

That's about the only crisis in the film. That and I guess Mr. Child's run-in with HUAC or whatever.

And no payoff either. It just sort of ends, as it would, when the cookbook runs out of recipes to make.

There's just no substance here at all. I was hoping for something more.

"I'll book you. I'll book you on something. I'll find something in the book to book you on."

Yea, nothing at all. This lady got a book and a movie deal for doing nothing but cooking recipes out of Julia child book. She made a career of of Julia child's name. It's typical of the times we live in. It takes NO talent to be famous anymore
