If I had actually paid money to see it, I'd be demanding my money back

I'm in the U.S. Army currently stationed in South Korea, where the movie theatre is free for all soldiers. Last night was the premiere of Star Trek. We get the movies late, but, oh well. I've been anxiously awaiting Star Trek and went to see it last night. But, I decided to get there early to see another movie playing before Star Trek called Duplicity. I saw it Had Clive Owen in it and thought, he, this movie must be good. Now I must say Duplicity is in no way a good movie. It was completely uninteresting. every scene taking place in the past between Clive and Julia had the exact same dialog. It was like watching the movie Vantage point where we see the same 15 minutes over and over, except it was from the same point of view each time. Honestly I gave this movie s good hour and decided to just take a nap and wait for Star Trek, I woke up in time for the ending, which I found to be completely unexciting. This is the first movie I have ever fallen asleep at. After about the first 20 minutes, there was nothing that kept my interest at all. I enjoyed my 20 minute nap more than I enjoyed the movie. On a side note, for Duplicity, the only ones in the theater were me, my battalion master driver, and 3 other people I didn't know. For Star Trek, all but about 10 seats were filled.

This is my signature, It's freakin' brilliant isn't it?

I agree, I actually left the theater before it ended, but I only paid a couple bucks to see it.

But....People who ask for their money back solely because they didn't enjoy a movie are idiots. Why rip off the theater because you made a lousy movie selection?

The only legit reasons for asking for your money back are things such as too hot, too cold, inferior visual or audio playback, noisy theater patrons, etc.

Try using paragraphs.

thank god i only paid $1.50 for this crap. they repeat the same schlock over and over. jesus christ. by the end i didn't even care what the "big secret" was or the twist. ahhhh. frustrating. this was ALMOST as bad as vantage point. don't directors know how to do suspense anymore? just watch hitchcock and then try again.

Thank god I downloaded the movie.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

what a waste of bandwidth, electricity and time (and there goes a writing cycle on your hdd that will never come back)

Phalanges, dancing phalanges!

I share your frustration and felt the same way.

The repetition of dialogue I think was supposed to demonstrate they were playing roles they had rehearsed. (Remember Claire saying to Ray, "You're directing me". But there were so many flashbacks, contrivances and a general lack of suspense that you end up not caring much any way.

BTW I thought Vantage Point was much better than this crap. (Nice looking crap, but still...crap!)

I agree with the other poster. You are an *beep* if you think you are entitled to money back for your own poor choices (if you didn't watch it the way you did).
