At the end, innocent or guilty?

what do you think of her?

what do you think he did after that?

stay with her?

knowing it was her fault " he and his wife" was killed?

reply

He killed her. Right at the end before the screen blacks out you can hear his heart beat once, same as when he killed all the others.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

reply

yea either that or he got away from her - since clearly he was able to hold back from killing the adulterer cop. either way he and she can never be together..not with his vengeful heart. no peace for him until she's dead or far away.

guilty, definitely. "i told him i didn't want to know where it came from" shows her to be the classic wealthy person who is complicit in the exploitation of someone else who's life is considered less valuable. the criminals justified their actions because people were dying anyway, but clearly the surgeon was not only greedy but sadistic as well.

that ending was one of the better twists i've seen in a while. only disappointment was the double mumbo jumbo in this film (as Blake Snyder would call it) - that not only are we asked to believe in the tell-tale heart, but also in the complete lack of surveillance cameras at all of his local hospitals, train stations, parking garages and so on.

The detective loved the female victim and wanted revenge and was also assisting in retribution, justice. He gave Terry the gun and stole evidence, didn't arrest or turn Terry in. He also was trying to convince Terry to continue with the revenge, so the heart just made Terry punch him for committing adultery.

Terry offed Elizabeth, he has no choice in the matter!

Elizabeth knew all about the heart controlling Terry at the end, so why did the bimbo open her big mouth? Yeah, I know why, no secrets, just a huge mistake on her part but a great twist, non-the-less. Dumb broad. LOL

Great movie, it flew right by.

PS
The heart suspected Elizabeth of being complicit. At the end of their lovemaking session, her face appeared evil to Terry.

reply

trail, a minor point, but at the end of the lovemaking scene, he doesn't see 'an evil face' but the face of the woman/his heart's wife- who had been murdered.(Just finished watching it.)

The way to have what we want
Is to share what we have.

This is one of the few endings that was good enough to up the film a notch. This was not a great film by any means, not awful but not all that good. The ending however was a real nice twist that actually made me look at the previous 89 minutes a little differently. well done.

<<<<yea either that or he got away from her - since clearly he was able to hold back from killing the adulterer cop. either way he and she can never be together..not with his vengeful heart. no peace for him until she's dead or far away. >>>>

Vengeful heart? Hmm...that would have made a much better title than "tell-tale" In fact I may just start writing the sequel...

"If you hate it when people post signatures they are 100% proud of and try to get others to join them, and are 100% proud of it, copy this and make it your signature"

I didn't think she was nearly as guilty as the organ smugglers- if we assume that she doesn't know the heinous lengths gone through to acquire the organ. Maybe he was just wrongly moved up in line on the organ list, etc.
I believe she loved him and the child deeply, but I do agree with everyone's assessment that he won't be able to forgive her. Just wanted to put my own two cents worth in...

Right. Well, I have to-- I have to go now, Duane, because I, I'm due back on the planet Earth.

reply

Well whatever his heart finds her guilty with the beat speeding up in the last scene

reply

I figured it out quite early she had a hand in it, but I think at the end he killed her.

reply

I guessed right and wrong, i thought she was the fourth person, but i was wrong, but in the end i was right too, she was in the scheme too! she was the client!! At the end, he kills her or go far away for sure..the heartbeat at the end its explicit!

Allways do it with an Architect

reply

Anyone who, in so many words, says:

"I don't want to know how you'll do it. Just get it done"

Is GUILTY of whatever that criminal does in the carrying out of the task.

This is the law, and it is also moral truth.

PS Great ending to a better than average movie.
