Was there any reason they said that they loved Truffaut? I'm a fan of his but I can't think of anything he has to do with rats. Was there any particular reason they chose him or are the filmmakers just fans of his?

I figured it was because he was a great French filmmaker who seems to be well loved by the French, which includes Remy and Emile.
