With AVGN about to do a review, i finally watched this one...

..didn't think it was TERRIBLE..

A Hatfield and McCoy style feud was an interesting place to take the Zombie
setting...While everyone else is always copying his template Romero
always seems to be striving for a fresh take..

I don't quite get the point of having the twin girls, but otherwise i found
this story fairly watchable, and like the potential setup for a follow-up
with the crew on that ferry..

I was expecting it to be AWFUL, but it was not tooooo bad.

"Be sure to tune in for the big giveaway at 9...."

Yeah, I just watched this too because James is going to review it. I agree with you. I was expecting it to be terrible but it really wasn't. It was passable. I too liked the Hatfield/McCoy like feud and the overall western feel the movie had. I don't get the twins thing either, but my main complaint was the CGI gore. However, by the end of the movie I got used to it.

It was childish rubbish, even worse then the others .

Poorly written, acted and directed, and with more plot holes then a fishing net .

Total tripe .

Apparently it is Romero's second favorite of his Dead films (Day being his favorite). For me Survival is by far his worst and actually very amateurish.

Though i think the ending does have a certain charm about it.

It might have actually been worse than DayOTD 2 Contagium.
