What's with the family?

The more I think about it, the more I see what you're saying. I never understood why Pippa's father and brothers didn't seem to care that her mother was severely mentally ill and going through the motions. I always never liked Pippa's father for some reason anyway.

It's because they were used to it, I guess back then they never thought too much of mental illness as much as we do now.

It happens. My mother is bipolar, but we all thought it was her hormones bc she had a total hysterectomy at age 27. She was alway mean and abusive. My dad didn't witness most of it bc he was traveling, flying to a new city every week.
