This movie had enough real actors that it doesn't qualify as a true B movie in my book. It winds up making it infinitely more disappointing however. The whole "point" of the movie is nonsense and makes the big reveal utterly non-engaging. The story simply not interesting enough to carry the cobbled together scenes of DC area photo ops and sleep inducing love story with modern soft rock soundtrack. Really makes you wonder about how people write/ choose/ produce movies to be a part of. They had to know a little bit into this flick it was a dog, didn't they?
Speaking in the actors some more, I used to think that Lance Reddick had some acting chops, but he is the single most "uni-character" type actor in all of Hollywood. His characters do not vary in any way whatsoever from one to the next. The guy from The Wire IS the guy from Fringe IS the dude in this movie. I don't remember him in Oz, so hopefully that is because he was not the same character. at least he might not be in a suit, which would have to help.
