So not much happened with the slug that the surgeon said was too close to spinal cord to remove ,? yet he walked out of hospital never returned , did 5 years in the hole not a problem?? Fake complete Fake story

reply

you are a fake story sir.

reply

At what point was he in the hole for 5 years? He was with the rest of the population for his sentence, with heavy gang ties that protected him.
The slug was close to his spinal cord, with no actual effect, so why risk surgery to remove it if theres no side effects. How is it fake if its common fact that Brian Goodman has a bullet lodged in his head in real life. And whos to stop him from walking out? He wasnt under investigation, wasnt under police watch. I thought it perfectly showed the power of addiction.

at the start of the movie it was indicated that its based on a real story? i guess some of the facts have been altered for entertainment value like how brian gets shot 3 times and still lives. he goes about his life in prison with a bullet lodged in his head and made a clean escape out of hospital without arousing suspicion from the medical staff and authorities of how he got shot in the very first place. all these are very valid points and the integrity of the story is challenged. but most movies based on real life incidents aren't always 100% true so this one is just one of them. neither would i say this movie is a fake dud. i just feel some of the facts aren't real facts.

Thanks shalomp.

The thing is: the guy is shot 3 times - 2 bullets out, one left in the back of his head near the spinal cord.

Now, if you're shot - you bleed.
The question is: why didn't they put something there to stop the bleeding or at least to explain how the hell is he shot in the head and he doesn't need any kind of bandage?

reply

The Doctor at the hospital told them it was a small caliber bullet so this is possible. I was once witness to a shooting where a bystander was shot in the thigh with a small caliber bullet (I think a .22). He hardly bled at all and completely stopped bleeding within 30 minutes.

I was surprised too! Also, the cops told him that when he went to the hospital they would probably just leave it in as it would come out on it's own at a later time!

One word: fiction.

Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't really pregnant.

also there was not bandage on his head, they probably just ignored it, either that or he flushed the bullet out somewher by movie magic.

Most people from Southie have no brain, so it was true to form.

Also if you are admitted to any hospital with gunshots wounds there would be a police report, questions asked, etc. No way he would have screamed at everyone and simply walked out like that. Cops would have been involved, period!
