How much of the failure was the director's fault?

Nothing about this movie seemed to be like the style of his other films (and he has a good amount of very good films). Was this another case of the studio micromanaging a summer tentpole superhero movie?

I don't know but I suspect that might have been the case. I mean the guy directed Casino Royale ffs.

Definitely the STUDIO'S Fault! No coherent vision!

Martin Campbell did a great job on GoldenEye and Casino Royale, but Green Lantern proved that just because you can direct a spy movie well, it doesn't mean you can direct a Superhero movie.

Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night.

It was the studio who butchered it, the director definitely had different plans for this movie. Studio just wanted more CGI
