Most of the time, the "plot hole" people are just "attention deficit generation" kids who text and screw around during the movie and then "don't get it" at the end but refuse to take responsibility. I watched the film and the first thing I realised was that the amount of water in the tank was far less than the amount of water in the bottles. Because of that I realised that no matter how much he "drank" before he reached capacity or drowned, it would just fill up again. But you see, I have an awareness of the world.

Maybe it should've been milk, and poured in much more slowly, so that he would have time to drink it, but it would make him sick, since you can't drink a gallon of milk in an hour. Then maybe he'd choke on his own vomit.
Ok that was really cool in my head, but now I typed it and read it, and wow, I'm realizing that idea was really really dumb, in every possible way. I was about to just erase it, but I'll leave it, no longer as a serious idea, but as amusement :)

shareThere were plastic tubes for the water, if I remember correctly. He could have ripped them out and the water would have poured into the ground.
shareit depends on how fast the water came in, now from the way the movie was edited, you are led to believe it happened pretty fast, but if you look at the flow of the water, you can see it's going much slower than that. It was definitely possible to drink the water at the pace it was sent out, BUT in the way it was edited, it would not have been, does that make sense?
