Did ever you notice.......

*That after one of the other male doctors finishes a sentence about a subject, Dr Lisa always has to say something about pregnant women?

Everybody on the show (the doctors or guests) usually start their explanations with "basically"?

I know this is an informative show but I noticed these quirks.

Basically, the show is just a filler for that hour.
and basically, the doctors are only partly literate. Let's face it, basically, the show sucks.

I LOVE your observation about the quirks. Lisa does always do that -- and one of the things I basically hate most is that when they do a 'theme' show, it's only geared toward women. For example, a couple of months ago, they had a show about "know your partner's body parts" or some such thing. So, it focused on women being fully versed in their male partners' anatomy -- but why didn't they have part of that show devoted to men knowing female anatomy?

The show is pedantic in a very juvenile way, and basically provides any really useful information.

Whatever. :-) basically. <oh! one more thing -- doesn't it always look like Ordon is reading from cue cards or notes? his answers/explanations never sound convincing or legitimately 'off the cuff.'

I usually DVR the show. This way I can skip over the crap and go right to what interests me. I do the same with Dr. Oz; if he's getting boring then fast forward.

reply

I do too -- it's the only way -- and you can get through the one hour show in about 30 min. or less.

reply

LOL...I know.

Both Dr.Oz and this show seem to have more boring segments.
