I have to say that based on my experience this is reasonably realisitic. As I watched the first episode I was reminded of a period when I moved back to my parents house after being retrenched from work. My younger brother was still at home and then my sister and her fiance moved back for 6 months (3 years) while they saved up for a house. About halfway through I was starting to wonder if my parents weren't moonlighting as writers. The relationships portrayed in the show are very representative of a close family forced by circumstance to live together again - a lot of love and a lot of small squabbles magnified by the close living.

Yeah, that's how I see it too. It's not like all the drama that happens when kids are teenagers. These are adults, still making mistakes as you do, but mature enough to be able work through it with help from someone in the family.
