Jersey SPOILERS

After the big boss, wife, baby, gardener and nanny have been murdered by Louise and Michel, the two are dancing with glee in a sort of conservatory. These scenes are set in Jersey, a British island off the shore of France. A lot of tax exiles live in Jersey and many companies are registered there.

However, I was struck by how quickly the States of Jersey Police could get an armed response unit there. UK police are not armed usually. These cops had automatic rifles and wore body armour. Is this realistic given the population is only 91000 and there are only 240 cops in the local police force? A flight from the UK would take 45 minutes to St Helier.

We know they werent French police as the police radio dialogue was in English.
