Censors

I am watching this telenovela in the US and univision keeps bleeping out words. I take it Mexican censors are a lot more lax than the Americans. Does anybody know what Mili says when they call her carlitos, it must be something bad cause they keep bleeping her.

i think she says "Carlitos las pelotas!" what's wrong with that? they don't censor the word "perra" on Amas de casa desesperadas... univision sucks!

Hmm, this is my assumption, that it's because 7pm, which is when this is aired, isn't really a time fit for TV shows to have that type of language, given the fact that this is a time when children are most likely still up and probably watching TV with their parents.

Like Nip/Tuck, which is rated TV-MA and only comes after 9pm, Amas de Casa Desesperadas is more of the type of shows adults can enjoy when the kids have gone to bed without all the language-censoring. Okay, maybe I shouldn't compare Nip/Tuck to Amas de Casa Desesperadas because there is a big difference between the two and Univision will never allow certain content, no matter the rating of their programs, which is limited. But do you see what I'm trying to say?

I'M NO ANGEL

Thats a very good assumption...I too always wondered why they bleeped the words out...

Carlitos! Las Pelotas!

The people at univision need to relax, i rememeber watching otro rollo with adal ramones and they would block his fart noises with his mouth. They also block any word that is not in the dicionary and this makes the shows not as funny. I think it's a bunch of cuban communists starting with Cristina Saralegui.
