Missed something- what made the clarinetist leave the dinner table?

Damn, I don't quite remember. He tried to kiss her, but it was something else, too. I just remember I loved [SPOILER!] the horror she expresses when she thinks his bathroom is a refuge only to look up and find a larger-than-life-size video installation of him staring at her.

He clutched her hand affectionately which was off-putting to her. She then had to grab the piece of bread out of her hand to eat it with the other. Very funny and such a great movie.

Clarinet is fascinated with the composer but finds the collector repulsive once he's made an advance. The video just reinforces her repulsion.

I think you all missed the point that he was a slob while he was talking to her.... he squirted some juice on his shirt (right at the beginning of that dinner scene), and he kept dropping food on the floor. When she purposely dropped the wine glass (in my opinion so he'd notice the mess he made on the floor), he offered to pour her some more wine, and there was no glass, but he didn't think to look on the floor for it.

Bizarre scene, for sure.
