THIS LOOKS FABULOUS!

I love Marley Shelton and coming from an artsy fartsy sorta background, I disagree with the whole concept of making art but then explaining it. Art should explain itself - if you need to explain what it's about then you've failed, and this is what this movie deals with comedically - I can't wait to see it!!!

That is all.

^ Meh... doesn't sound that great, actually.

as with the NY Times reviewer, the linked reviewer is miffed that (Untitled) isn't the movie he wanted made: a Freudian gloss on the story of Cain and Abel.

(Untitled) is not about that. instead, it's (gentle) parody of the contemporary art scene (including a send-up of Damian Hirst), *plus* a lot of warm and wise insight into people who are genuinely interested into art, both as creators and as observers.

and, yes, Marley Shelton *is* Fabulous! you will rarely, if ever, see a pretty "blonde" portraying a character so intelligent, articulate, realistic, yet also idealistic.

Yeah, she's also kinda bitchy too.
But for me, the one that carries the movie is Adam Goldberg, he genuinely looks like inside the mind of a true avant-garde composer.

now this is acting: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2458172160/tt1528718

I also really enjoyed Shelton in this. She really "sold" her speeches about art and artists -- to the point that it was easy to believe she was intimately familiar with that very insular world. Now *that's* acting.

It looks great on paper and i like most of the cast, but the end product is lackluster.
