if i were to watch 1-2 episodes to break me in...?

WonderShowtime was and is probably my favorite show of the past 80-120 years but I've watched Xavier a couple times and it's very hard to watch. I will be the first to say I don't get it because the PFFR guys are (while hit and miss) on the whole, very smart. I consider myself to be of relatively high intellect but I feel I'm missing something. Do I just have to watch several to get myself into it, are there a couple user-friendly episodes I could watch that would encourage me to watch more?
I want to like this show because after getting through the first couple episodes of WonderShowmoose I enjoy it like a bowl of delicious ice cream.

Just start from the first episodes, you're starting on the wrong foot if you watch any of the later episodes. The show is least insane at the beginning and it my help if you let the madness build rather than dive on in.

And this may be out of the question, but I recommend rolling a couple J's when watching this show, you have to be on a certain wavelength to "truly get" this show.

Episode one shows the backstory of the lead character.

Catch pneumonia, be near death, watch the entire series in one sweat-soaked waking nightmare.

Thank me later.
