Question about T-Bag's role in Michael's plan

If indeed it was Michael's plan all along for T-Bag to rat him out, why then would he even bother to send Sucre to make the transaction? There's no point even trying to get the money to T-bag since that although even after getting the money T-Bag would probably rat him out anyway, wouldn't it be much more certain that T-bag would rat them out if he didn't get his money?

I thought that Sucre was trying to get the money wired to a S American account for Sara. When he put the suitcase on the ground next to Sara near the end, I thought he said I was supposed to wire this to you but I ran into some trouble.

Could be wrong, if I am someone will no doubt give you the genuine dialogue.

You are right Pat, OP must have missed that bit of dialogue - easy to do if you sneezed or something!

Yes, indeed, the money was for Sarah...

and that was well directed, by filming it that way it appeared that everything had gone horribly wrong and aided in giving more tension.

PatChimes is right, he went for the bank to transfer the money to Sara. He gave it to her in cash instead.

This is a trick used REALLY often in Prison Break, like more than once per episode. Making the audience think a character is going to do one thing/being in one place/planning one thing/whatever and showing this on screen, but "surprising" us later with that the character was doing something else all along...

And the show did that so often that it stopped being surprising and just became annoying.

This is my signature.
