Deeply absorbing GOOD movie and acting!!

This is one of those films on IMDb that turns out to be a lot better than what posters say! And you cant figure out for the life of you, why it wasnt promoted better. YES...it was surprisingly REALLY good!!! I almost didnt watch it because it doesnt seem very popular here, but I also know that many films which dont do good here turn out to be a mind blower. I researched the story & I think they did a good job. The boxing wasnt long & drawn out but intense & exciting for ppl like me not into boxing. The story line was an emotional roller coaster with quite a few intense moments. Not action wise but in holding our attention, always good plots unfolding!

I went on a date with a girl once and we had an awkward conversation about not too much, but she told me it was the deepest conversation she ever had! If I were still in contact with her I'd hook the two of you up!

I wholeheartedly agree. The atmosphere in this movie is really captivating. Definitely a buried treasure for people like you and me who jump in without prejudice and accept this for what it is: A very decent gangster / boxing movie based on a true story 
