Final Bow but a New Beginning?

Rumors spreading that BTR Season 4 is 'officially' the final season but is this a new beginning for the band and focus on music only. Do you think these British & Korean boybands should scared right now when BTR (the band) music goes full time when their show ends by summer?

I dont know.

The Monkees had there show and when one left it was like a Domino effect.

I would say there like the Monkees and I do think they can surivive if they break away from NICk but since they are just making it for kids and pre teen girls thats a limited audience!

The Monkees were able to make it after their show and their show only lasted two seasons. The show was canceled in 1968 but that band continued to make music for three more years (and even after that there were the reunions and junk). That doesn't guarantee anything for BTR but it shows that it is possible. Hey, The Monkees didn't even have the fortune of the wonderful BTR bromances. For that to be possible I think BTR would have to take control of their music and not continue to be the manufactured boy band (they do write some of their songs, which is a step in that direction). The Backstreet Boys, for instance, are still together after all this time and they have a new album. Commercial success? Well, no, not anymore, but that isn't stopping them. That's just more proof that just because BTR is a boy band doesn't mean they have to have an expiration date. If they want to stay together and they work hard enough it is possible.

The problem is that they started as the TV show and everything hinges on contracts. I guess if they didn't have that but didn't want to give up they could go the independent route, but I don't know anything about the legalities of all that.

Are you kidding me they couldnt get jobs out of The Monkees and reunions and junk do you get money from that! Oh Nessesmith left the band remember then there were three and Peter got into drugs and jail time. They were has beens after the show. Everyone wanted them to do the Monkees theme song but you know what they couldnt since it was owned the the studios

Thats becuase Backstreet boys were a BOY band before being actors. How many TEENY BOPPER girls are going to stick around now? I doubt not very many! Remember they are still owned by Nick when they cut ties then we will see and they are aging FAST! Kendall is aging the fastest.

Teen girls want YOUTH the boy bands to be ONLY straight and cute.

Well the future is unknown for now for Big Time Rush. I will say its up in the air to weather they can acutually survive as a boy band since the Tv show come first.

WELL yes but how much does Nick and Viacom own of Big Time Rush? If they want to break from Nick what happens! Viacom made Big Time Rush the tv show and boy band. Yes everything hinges on contracts and now will we see what happens with the band only

My whole point of bringing in The Monkees was to say that the show ended but the band did not. The band became the band. The same can happen to BTR if they want to continue. The only thing I've heard from them on that is Kendall's tweet during the premiere of the finale. I don't know what their thoughts are on their future. A good sign is the bromance they seem to have off the show. That's a good sign they want to be together unlike The Monkees. If The Monkees had that kind of bromance maybe they would have stayed together longer than the three years after the show ended (and then all four of them would have come together for reunions instead of one person always missing (though we know why one will be missing now :tear:).

BTR hasn't taken their break, yet. I don't think the show has aired its finale in all countries, yet, so there's that.

My whole point of bringing in the BSB example was the want. Those boys wanted to stay together, so even though they had obstacles they managed to stay together. If BTR has that same want then they can work to keep themselves together. (It's also an example of a boy band not breaking up or out after the third album. I wanted to scream that at Griffin during Big Time Break Out. Actually, I think Kendall should have brought it up as a reason to not have anyone break out from the band--in showverse they are more successful than in real life).

Show's over but that doesn't mean the band has to break up. Staying together hinges on three things: do the boys want to stay together, do the fans want the boys to stay together (if the fans walk away there is nothing the boys can do), and will Nickelodeon continue working with them or are they allowed to continue without Nick?

Honestly, I hope they stay together and because they are no longer a Nickelodeon TV show (though I would love a fifth season [sadly not happening] or a sequel/spin-off) I would like to hear some more mature stuff from them. Typical boy band stuff, yes, but more mature typical boy band stuff.

Didnt they have there vacation in Mexico again after the TEEN choice awards in mexico?

More like gay relationships! No the difference is they are the new Monkees but I do think they have more chemistry then the Monkees.

BUT when the show ended I think there days as a band are over.

What new songs are they going to do?

Well we dont know. Yeah once one member leaves it over but we have to remember its not just Kendall Carlos James and Logan its the guitarist the drummer which we hardly see and Dustin Belt.

The four of them are saying there BIG TIME RUSH and its not all true.

The Four of them just have gotten more coverage.

I dont know! I dont know good question becuase are they independent from Nick or does Nick still own the band? Or have the separated from Nick and now there own there own and if they are will the band stay together or like you say will the fans walk away?

Now there thunder is being taken away from by One Direction. Can they do more mature songs? If they do change some of there songs what will happen?

Allstar Weekend is gone there going by a new name and will that fly with the fans?

I think its a mistake for allstar

yeah but there under Nick or the show was. now the band I dont know thats the big QUESTION.
