2014 the year Kendall Schmidt lost
It brings a huge smile to my face that 2014 was the year Kendall Schmidt's hopes and dreams didn't come to fruition. Oh I'm sure Kendall Schmidt smugly telling his buddies and family he had a great year but it's nonsense.
Heffron Drive is still a band toiling in obscurity. Tollbooth records to my knowledge is a non-entity. He's performed all over the place and has not much to show for it.
In the meantime Avici broke out with " Wake Me Up." Sam Smith surged with " Stay with Me" and " I'm Not The Only One." And Hozier catapulted out of nowhere with " Take Me to Church."
All of them are great songs and the bonus for me is that these guys are hitting it big and conceited Kendall Schmidt is stuck in neutral. It couldn't happen to a more deserving person. When you're a vindictive person like Kendall who plots to sabotage other people you reap what you sow.
(When Teen asked, "So you can say you had a hand in making One Direction what it is today!," Kendall answered, "I almost had a hand in not having them open for us, that's for sure. I tried my best. It was frustrating!" ( Cambio, Wendy Michaels, August 29 2014)
Just as Kendall detests One Direction, he must absolutely detest Sam Smith, Avici, and Hozier and that's absolutely pleasant. Time will tell if they're more than a flash in the pan but for now they're riding high and Kendall Schmidt and his smirking ego will have to deal with it.
You lost Kendall. You lost. You lost. You lost!! It can't be emphasized enough. You lost.
