Necrosis - Blood Snow - Name question answered.

The film is called "NECROSIS". The foreign sales distributors (American World Pictures) who sold the film at Cannes, American Film Market aka AFM, Berlin, etc., claimed that the name "Necrosis" wouldn't translate in the various foreign languages (available in 17 countries to date, besides the US) so they changed the name to "Blood Snow".

So why when you illegally download the film do you see Blood Snow? Why? Well, first off, thanks for illegally downloading the film. We try to make enough money back for the small family and friends (the investors) to at least pay them back. But unfortunately too many people illegally download a bit torrent of the film and watch for free. Hell, we'd take 50 cents for a download and then we would have made the money back. It's a tiny budgeted film, as you can tell.

So The Czech Republic was the first country to release "Blood Snow" on dvd. They were nice enough to leave the english version on their dvd (as well as a dubbed version). The DAY AFTER the dvd was released it was on bit torrent sites. Trust me....we watched, and saw our investment go down the crapper as the bit torrent downloads stacked up. This ruined our US DVD and PPV release.

To those that actually paid for the film.... thank you for supporting indie film making! Check out Peace and Riot, a romantic comedy that we are producing right now(In post production). Hopefully we learned the lessons that we needed to with Necrosis, to make our investment back with our next one....

So that is the official reason for the two different names (actually three.... Japan released it as "Ice of The Dead").

Hope this answers your question on the title of the film any way... Jason

Spare me the guilt trip. You should pay me for the time it took me to illegally download this POS movie!
