Anybody else looking forward to this?

It's about time somebody made a (non-documentary) TV show that features William the Conqueror. Hopefully the Battle of Hastings will be awesome!

reply

I guess not.

reply

Well now I am! I hadn’t heard of it before I saw your post.

reply

It's the official follow-up to "Vikings" from the History Channel, but takes place a hundred years or so later, and I think it was announced that it will be on Netflix.

reply

Oh yeah, I’ll be watching this! I’m a major history junkie. Although I’m not caught up on Vikings - I think I still need to watch the second half of the last season. But yeah, the whole Harold Godwinson- Edward the Confessor- William the Bastard saga will make for a great show!

reply

Agreed.

reply

Should be great.

reply

A sequel? Wow.

If they were going to make more Vikings, they should have just done another season of the main show and it properly rather than starting a new one.

Not interested.

reply

This is set a century later and won't really have any direct connections to the first series, so that wouldn't make sense.

reply

That's not what he means.

reply

He misunderstood what this new show is about.

reply

I'll watch it! Was a huge fan of Vikings show. Just a pity it was so dire the last few seasons.

reply

I hope the seer is in it

reply

I guess you may not have seen what happened to the seer in the current series.

reply

Yeah I saw it and he kept showing up after that lol

reply

Wish granted LOL

reply

After they turned Ragnar's wife into a lesbian for no reason, I had no interest in this series.

Being on Netflix means we can expect even more anachronistic nonsense to sate the desires of Left-wing propagandists.

reply

True.
But.
What network will not make/publish woke content?

reply

Gosh, I don't know. That's a good question.

Hulu has proven to be woke, along with Amazon Prime.

I don't think Disney+ has woke propaganda? But Disney itself is wrapped up so much in wokeness and how they're treating their properties, actors/actresses that it more than makes up for Disney+'s tame offerings.

FX is compromised after what they pulled against Kurt Sutter, and network television wouldn't touch a series like Vikings, but they're also part of the woke train, too, especially ABC and CBS. I'm not sure about NBC, I don't watch any crap on that channel. Fox is definitely part of the woke train, I was sorely disappointed with Deputy, which ended up pushing all of that non-binary, Rainbow Reich nonsense.

Maybe... maybe TNT? Seems like it might be the only way left that isn't gung-ho on the crazy juice.

reply

disney not woke? have you seen the new star wars trilogy? lol

reply

I meant Disney+ the channel. Disney the company is the wokest of woke.

But my comment has been rendered wrong because Falcon and Winter Soldier proved to be very woke. So Disney+ is now quite woke.

reply

The Disney Company is the absolute worst when it comes to this bullshit, and sadly, will be the last to change.

reply

You're absolutely right.

But my comment was specifically about Disney+ the streaming channel, rather than the corporation itself. At the time I made my comment the Disney+ streaming channel mostly had tame stuff, but with their latest offerings the channel is now basked in wokeness.

But yeah, it goes without saying that Disney is super woke, and it was just a matter of time before Disney+ reflected the main corporation's wokeness.

reply

Fair enough.
