At the World Wide Movie Awards, Arrancame la vida, won the Award for Best Movie from Latin America.

It was nominated together with:

- El Tinta de la Fama (Venezuela)
- El Orfanato (Mexico/Spain)
- Perro Como Perro (Colombia)
- Leonera (Argentinia)
- Aniceto (Argentina)

I would say it had enough competition, and is a well deserved winner.
