Not a fan of Talancón

I honestly don't understand why she gets cast in so many good projects. I'm a fan of the novel and I had been waiting for this movie for a really long time. I'm extremely disappointed that she got the role of Catalina. I don't think she's a good actress at all. At all! She lacks so much passion, fire, etc. and she's never natural in her performances.
In my opinion this is just another role of hers in which she takes her clothes off. Period.

You don't understand why she gets cast in so many good projects because you know next to nothing about acting, wolfspirit. Ana Claudia Talancón have been praised worldwide because of this and other of her performances. But here we have a "dude" who thinks Robert Pattinson is the *beep* "eight wonder of the world"! saying that Ana Claudia is a bad actress, oh boy!

No mameis!

Hi Wolf,

I may agree with you. Ana Claudia has gotten great roles in Mexican movies. I found her talent in the way she allow to be directed. Every movie has had a different director and the performance is completly different from each other. My question Wolf is, who do you propose to play this role? Being honest, I don't know actresse who can play roles like the ones she's done. Ana Claudia mainteins her position on her role, she shines by herself and by the script. Allowing the rest of the cast do their job. On the other hand, this is a story about history. it's about the roots of corruption, the beginning of the actual mexican political living. Talancon is part of 100 actors that have a distinctive historical role in the movie, don't you think. I was surprised when Angeles Masttreta mentioned that Salma Hayek didn't bid the auction of this script. She could have done this role; however, she is already a mature talent, she has a strong personality to work it out. Instead, she could had been the producer of this movie. I hope you can name some other women who could replace Talancón. I am really curious. Un abrazo, Rebeca

She is an abysmal actress. She delivers her lines monotonously and unnaturally. Her expressions are blank. This role requires a great deal of emotional range and she has about 2 expressions. She is transformed from a young, naive, virginal ingenue to a sophisticated woman. I did not find that transformation convincing.

But maybe she gets good roles because she is professional and pleasant to work with.
