Simply Fantatic... (No Spoliers)

...as I posted here (http://thouvoice.journalspace.com/) but with additional comments here...

One thing that I have just done is been to the cinema and seen "Three And Out". This film has had some people up in arms in Blighty due to the content, but this has to be the best film that I have seen all year up until now. There is a lot of trash that finds its way to the cinema but this is not such a film.

Mackenzie Crook and Colm Meaney are two fantastic leads here as well as Antony Sher who is only a minor supporting actor in it, but beyond funny in his part.

A top film that is actually worth spending money on.

The content maybe sensitive but the way that this has been handled in the film is absolutely fantastic. You do and will feel for all characters here as well as trying to figure out how this is going to pan out.

You have blockbusters, you have the sequels but for me, this is an independent type film that gets 10/10 and I don't actually see myself enjoying anything at a cinema more then this film this year with the exception of Indiana Jones, but I have a horrible feeling that is going to be one Indy film too many.

Go and see this film and if you are in any doubt before hand, give it a chance.

Did you notice you didn't really mention anything that made the movie good? I could write the same review as you and I haven't even seen the movie lol

Agreed. I gave it 8/10. Really wasn't expecting it to be so good. Even posted my RT review on here, which I don't usually do, just to add balance to the mostly negative comments left thus far. Highly misunderstood.

There's something suspicious about posts like this (I'm referring to the thread starter). Can't help but wonder if it's something to do with:

"[In regard to the film] ...armies of enthusiastic amateurs were recruited to ram the message home online in forums and on fansites."

Guardian, 9/05/08.

Not a new trick I know, but I understand this film's getting some pretty heavy panning and that the team promoting it worked hard to get 'amateurs' to write up 'great' posts like this one to give it Google kudos. Anyone else come across this? Does this bode well for sites like IMDB?

{BTW I have not seen the film, so stand neutral on it.}
