Probably as it was marketed as 'guest starring Kerry Katona'. If she aint slurring her words on early morning telly, then we aint interested!

I think the mis-marketing was more along the lines of "Mackenzie Crook, from 'The Office' stars in this new British comedy..."
Hence people went expecting to see Gareth Keenan; the first few audiences came out disappointed and reported the fact to their friends (and to the websites like this), and the rest was history.
The British film industry is so superficial, at marketing level, that they often can't see beyond the 'star power' of a film, and regularly mis-sell a film like this. Its a real shame because this is a good film, which deserved a more objective reception.

Probably true - but I'm kinda disappointed that the masses haven't got their head around the fact that actors 'often play different people', yet... It's kinda in their job description! In this supposedly 'media-savvy' age we live in, how come there's only a minority of the public that can actually see marketing techniques for what they are?!
