It's called 'A New England' by Kirsty MacColl.

"A New England" was written (and originally recorded) by Billy Bragg.
The best-known cover of it was indeed by Kirsty MacColl, for whom he wrote an additional verse.

The line "I'm just looking for another girl" was changed in McColl's version to "Are you looking for another girl?" which I don't understand - it has a totally different meaning, even in context.

I first heard Bragg singing it, solo with just an electric guitar, on Channel Four's The Tube music programme around 1984. That version has never been bettered (I still have the audio recording I made) - I found McColl's a little bland, with the rough edges smoothed off. It was still better than Crook and Arterton's though.

Awight we're The Daamned we're a punk baand and this is called Carn't Be Appy T'day!
