Just seen Three And Out - enjoyed it, much to my surprise!
Having watched the trailer earlier in the day, I went to the preview screening with thoughts of cheap Brit comedies in my head and fearing the worst.
To my great delight, the film's far, far better than the trailer suggests, and is certainly not the knockabout, cheap-laughs kind of comedy I was expecting - as it's running time goes on, the themes get more and more serious, and, while the laughs are still there, the twist(s) came as a genuine surprise to me, and the film's all the better for it's move into a more thoughtful sphere.
The only bad word I have for it is the middle section sags a bit when the 'action' moves to Coniston, but that's a minor gripe.
I'd recommend Three And Out - and that's saying something, 'cos I'm usually more of a Bladrunner/Saving Private Ryan fan.
