Question about the Ward C patient with the heavy tattoos...


Did people really have tattoo's like that in the 1950's? I remember hearing that even in the 1970's tattoo's were frowned-upon, much less the 50's.

I know Teddy had some tattoos too, but they were far more believable and realistic for that time period, as they were only a few small army tattoos on the arm. The patient, however, had FACIAL TATTOOS. That's frowned upon TO THIS DAY. It's hard to imagine someone in the 1950's being like that.
