Indie romantic comedy "16 to Life" being released by Gravitas Ventures nationwide Feb. 1 on VOD

LOS ANGELES, CA - February 1, 2011 — Gravitas Ventures and Emmy-nominated director Becky Smith announce the February 1st North American VOD release of the award-winning romantic comedy “16 to Life”. http://16tolifethemovie.org/blog

Indie comedy “16 to Life” has won 9 Best Feature awards at film festivals internationally, as well as 2 Best Actress Awards and 2 Best Supporting Actress Awards. The film has screened at over 30 film festivals around the world and taken home 17 awards.

Actress Hallee Hirsh(ER, JAG) stars in the comedy, with Shiloh Fernandez (Red Riding Hood, United States of Tara), Theresa Russell(Black Widow, Spider Man 3), Mandy Musgrave(South of Nowhere) and Jaime Gomez(Nash Bridges, Training Day). Carson Kressley (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) was one of the show’s producers and shines in a comic role as one of the locals.

In “16 to Life”, Kate (HalleeHirsh) is an American teen who tries to hide her sexual inexperience on her 16th birthday by meddling in her co-workers love lives. The terrific ensemble cast and surprising revelations of small town secrets have made “16 to Life” a festival darling internationally.
