Porsche

Early in the movie, referring to the Porsche he is driving at the time, Mark Whitacre asks: "Is it "Porsh" or "Pore'-shuh?" I can answer that question very simply. The correct way to say it is "Pore'-shuh." (With two syllables, accent on "Pore".) The "e" is pronounced just like the "a" in "Toyota." Porsche does not do a great deal of advertising, but when they do, the name is always pronounced "Pore'-shuh." I believe that they know how to pronounce their own name.

I was thinking the same thing!

Anyone know the year of the 911 he was driving? I thought it looked newer - mid to late 90's - than '92, the year shown.

I'm not familiar with how it is pronounced in the US but in Germany (which Whitacre wondered about) it's very much por-sche with the "e" pronounced like the first "é" in the french pronounciation of Québec.

@machicolator, it's a 911 variation 964, production years 89-94.
