Its probably because she didn't want people to see her looking fat on television, even though it was a pregnancy belly.

B/c it was uncomfortable, and her boyfriend giggled about it. Then she threw a massive tantrum and behaved horribly. Get over it, girlfriend!! Pregnancy is uncomfortable, from the beginning (nausea) to the end (squeezing a basketball through the eye of a needle). Had the parents of the "loaner baby" seen that fit, they could've turned and run the other way!!
That said, the commercials and the little snippet at the beginning of the show make it appear that they did a great job with the baby. The mom said something like, "I couldn't have expected it to go better!" and she had tears in her eyes. So... maybe the girl stopped being a hag long enough to take care of business. Lucky for her, I have redirected my loathing toward that prima donna with the black hair who told that baby he could starve, then totally stopped helping with the baby b/c she got her feelings hurt by the mom. Grr!!
