Real Teen Parents in Houses Like These?

I don't know a single set of teen parents who live in upper-middle class houses. Put them in one-bedroom apartments on food stamps and WIC vouchers without their boyfriends around 24/7 and riding public transportation instead of late model cars. That's more likely to be a teenaged parent's life. There's no 'reality' in this 'reality tv show."

You took the words right out of my mouth. I couldn't believe they were making $100 a day! These kids with no work experience or college education would be making minimum wage, $7 an hour... they'd only be making $56 a day and that's without them taking out taxes! This social experiment is a good start in letting these kids know what it's like to married and have a kid, but they really need to let them see the whole picture. Living in a trailer/tiny apartment, not having a car or an old, old car, etc.

I've seen my friends get married at 20/21, they didn't even have kids, but they wanted to play house and be grown up. The stress of working, paying bills, and not having money for nice things or fun took it's toll. None of the marriages lasted 3 years.

Omg these brats couldn't even make it in a middle class home what would have happened to the babies if they were in a situation like you described...lol

Of course they didn't put them in one-bedroom apartments and on food stamps: how many of those parents who "lent" their kids would have allowed them to stay in a situation like that. Not to mention there would be no room for the cameras and crew. As for the boyfriends being around, that's kind of the point of the show. This is about couples, not one person, trying to take care of kids and testing their relationship. P.S Name one reality tv show that is actually completely real.

"He was limping when he left."
"He was limping when he got here."

Not all teen parents live on minimum wage and on food stamps!!!!!!!!!!

Or in apartments!

Well of course they don't all live that way the great majority of them live at home with mommy and daddy if there is a daddy around. If not they live at home with mommy.

its supposed to be more like a social experiment than a reality show anyway.
and i think that way the kids see even if they have everything else handed to them, they shouldn't take care of kids when they're that young.

well they see how tough it is in those houses then theyre gonna know its worse if ur not living like that..

Alice(is me):You've kept me waiting a long time.

They are giving them the full experience of living in the upper middle class to show them how even ideal parting situations are tough as hell. I am sure once the kids see they can't handle this they will know they can't handle life on their own, at least not with a kid.
