Saw this last night. PT and Ian were there answering questions. It was a terrific night.

The film was well done. I'm holding back due to personal connection that would cloud total objectivism. And knowing that there may not be many surfers who patrol this board looking for film commentary. While surfing has become a more mainstream "Sport" and past time, the vernacular of the world of surfing is still esoteric. Having said that, it was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've experienced at the cinema. A great story well told. Viewers who don't really know the world of surfing will enjoy this film. It provides an excellent education on a major tipping point in surfing history. And great insight into why many people say things like "Once I rode a wave, that's all I ever wanted to do for the rest of my life".

I wouldn't have seen this except Netflix has it as an Instant Play HD movie. Now Xbox360, ROKU box, etc. can easily see this special documentary ( watching on PC's is sometimes jumpy) It really helps expand the potential audience to have this on streaming media. I'm glad I had the "instant" chance to see this! I'd rate it "Great"... I remember how great it was to see surfing on ABC Wide World of Sports. ( I have no commercial connection to companies I've mentioned )
