just saw it, from netflix. questions and comments

it was nice to see a movie about female pilots. my mom has been a member of the 99s.

question: why was noonan holding his head and acting weird during the last of the flight? did he realize they wouldn't make it? i thot his navigational skills were superior. or did he have a bad hangover?

question: what was the note that noonan sent up to amelia at the end?

comment: swank is sure skinny. she looks anorexic, and they say film makes one seem fatter than real life.

comment: kinky friedman wrote a song called "amelia earhart's last flight." it's on the on Austin City Limits that was never shown on TV - very irreverent comedy, but i love the guy. a cowboy colbert. he's so funny and clever! i'm collecting all his books.

netflix's special features were three or four trailers of films never heard of before, and a "public entertainment production" called bubbles that lasted about a minute. worst special features i've ever seen on a video.

comment: my favorite part of the movie was when george pushed his garden tool into the dirt then walked off, and the beautiful dog goes up to amelia. what a gorgeous dog!

comment: an interesting story about one of the planes used in the movie. a man had a rare working electra, and because it was his, the movie paid him to dress up as amelia at times when he was actually flying the plane.
