i remember thinking to myself she almost looked more boyish than in 'boys don't cry' haha but i realized when they showed pics of the real amelia at the end that they had tried to make her look like her and did pretty well. the real amelia was clearly a very boyish, non-make-up wearing kinda gal but i wouldn't say ugly.

No. I find Hilary Swank to fairly good-looking actually. Very attractive, imo.

She was made up to look like Amelia Earhart in this film who, let's face it, was no oil painting.

Hilary Swank is far from ugly.

When I said I wanted to be a comedian, they all laughed at me. Well, they're not laughing now!

Amelia Earhart, by no means, was ugly. She was a pioneer and way ahead of her time. She made history. Her interests involved being an aviator, not caking on make-up and being a pin up. Pin ups are fine if that's your desire, but Amelia had more pressing issues. Also, we're talking the 1920's and 30's. She was probably considered rather attractive for that time. If she grew her hair long and wore the make-up she'd probably be labeled a fox. By the way, Hilary Swank is very attractive. You have to remember also, she has 2 Oscars and that's pretty sexy as well. Giggity.
