Horrible Acting

Is it just me or did anyone else notice the inept amateur acting? Honestly, I found it hard to enjoy the film because the acting was that terrible. It almost felt like I was watching a soap opera. Great story, awful acting!

Due to an extremely low budget, most of the actors were church volunteers who had no acting experience. The producers, director, and actors were more interested in getting their message across than winning any acting awards. Matter of fact, even Cameron didn't accept compensation for his part. Great film.

In that case, I can appreciate the film a little more.

I agree, and the person below this said something about volunteers? Erin Bethea has a host of Christian films under her belt. One would think she would seek out acting lessons if she is building a career as an actor. I have seen kids do better in a school play. It sounds mean, but she is awful.

Caleb was a whiner! That's pretty much what all his acting and dialogue was. Catherine did ok, Dr. Keller's acting was bad and he was not interesting.

I agree with you %100. The actors were amatures so I can give them a little bit of a break, but not much of one because they could have took some lessons first. The film was what is was a movie directed toward christians and marketed to christians. The performance by Erin was laughable at best. She was very unconvincing. Cameron, in my opinion has never been a good actor. The writing and dialog was bad too. It may have been a nice little movie for some, but the terrible acting was something I couldn't get passed. As a previous post said, I have seen better acting in grade school plays.

You're being overly harsh. Cameron is a fine actor in the right movies.
