Well, there was something amusing in this

The Basilisk they used in this movie is actually the same Basilisk CGI model they used in the Basilisk movie Sci-Fi Channel released a few years back. It made a cameo.

I am actually watching The Immortal Voyage right now, and when I saw that Basilisk I had to run to my computer and make sure it was the same one from Basilisk.... God I have seen too many of these movies.

Saw it earlier tonight on the Canadian pay-TV channel SuperChannel. Adrian Paul fans will probably like this, but expect a *lot* of over-the-top swaggering from his Drake throughout (the guy reminds me of a preening peacock at times, he really does).

Plus the usual crummy visual effects sequences during key scenes (especially near the end when someone's ship is dragged under by giant sea turtles or something), but this being Sci-Fi Channel, you probably expect that, so that probably won't thrill you quite as much as Duncan McPeacock of the Clan McPeacock.

Hopefully you manage to make it all the way through this without succumbing to the urge to watch your PVR recording of "Battlestar Galactica" from the previous night. Have fun!

Please let me know if there's some other way we can screw up tonight.
